Three recent cut-up poems from magazines that I was about to recycle:

lanterns whipping over the library red with lights the rustic ceilings dim in constant grand pleasure

glittery words about glass go like the future coming to push you with clubs hovering even bigger

You're that risk of flying associated with long aisles and fear. Those unsafe times widely repeated from myth never fly. I steer and risk the process raw.

This month looks like an excellent balance of work and personal time so far. I'm very proud of that, as it's very difficult for me to make any personal time typically. Had lunch with a good friend last Tues., much overdue. I've been writing to an old friend and catching up with her. I spoke to another friend on the phone this week after not having connected with her in quite a while, and she gave me a much needed boost. We talked about patience and potential, writing and aspirations. All in all, a good month for friendships!

I was lucky enough to have two haiku included in Now Culture. There's no possible way I can put into words how cool it is to have my work in the same place as work by Jane Hirshfield and Ravi Shankar. Wow. The plan that my husband and I made to write together a couple times a week has not been coming together (because of me, of course), but this publication brings me to a place where I know I must make time to sit with him and write.

Lots of beautiful snow around ... have made some progress in cleaning my office ... have done some of the work on our taxes but more must be done ... planning to take K out to our local wildlife center for the first time soon ... all good.
