Back from vacation, and much more on the trip later, but here is the writing/lit news. Today I received notice that a poem was accepted to Edgz, which is cool. A few days ago I had a rejection letter come, so this is much better.

On the plane ride I read The Alchemist, which I enjoyed up to the last 20 or 30 pages. The end fizzled out, left me thinking, "Oh, there is a literal treasure?" I also brought Poetry of the Universe on the plane, but I ended up reading an issue of Tricycle that was about happiness and how to get me some.

Monday I wrote more of a poem about summer in NYC, which is going pretty well. I hope to be able to send it and some others out soon. I started a poem about the IN state museum, so I hope I can get that where I want it. I know what I want it to be, but things these days don't come out to the page the way I'd like!
