Another fabulous evening with Mom and Vi listening to Chanticleer perform their Out of This World program, this time in the space that is the Temple of Dendur at the Met. The slanted wall of glass carried the cold rain quickly down, and the room was cool. The music was beautiful, as always, and the modern pieces were fun and eclectic.

Chanticleer sang "Island in Space" by Kirke Mechem, which takes some lyrics from one of my favorite astronaut quotes (by Russell Schweickart, NJ native!!) ... so great! I also liked their version of "Cells Planets" (brought me to thinking of Roland Orzabal). And all their Ave Regina Caelorums were angelic.

On the way home we passed the Rose Center, that glass square glowing blue, Saturn and the planets hanging in a hypersleep. A perfect view to end the night.
